Marley Coffee

Marley Coffee sources its sustainably grown, ethically farmed and artisan roasted gourmet coffee beans from around the world, including Ethiopia, Central and South America and Jamaica. Founded by Rohan Marley, the son of legendary musician Bob Marley, and ex linebacker for the Miami Hurricanes.

Why Marley Coffee

1. A skilled Cupper personally visits the plantations around the world, selecting the finest green Arabica beans for purchase.

2. A skilled Master Roaster will coax the favor from the bean by using the Old European German style of slow roasting in Probat Roasters: passive roasting, whereby rather than roasting the beans, Marley allow the beans to be roasted. They hand roast each batch slowly, carefully controlling the heat and air flow, and adjusting to the air temp, barometric pressure and humidity. This method of roasting takes approximately 14 minutes per batch. When the beans are fully developed, they are then gently smoked to enhance the aroma and flavor.

3. The artisan way of roasting is followed by air-cooling, whereby you don’t quench the beans at the end of the roasting process. While this would allow you to roast faster, quenching the coffees lessens the yield, and impedes the flavor, aroma and shelf life of the coffee. Marley then packages the freshly roasted beans, or ground coffee, immediately in order to deliver the freshest coffee.
